The general philosophy is that the NSWBA will urge activities which assist to improve the running of bridge and promotion of the game. They are intended to assist clubs in developing the skills of their directors, teachers and players, as well as general bridge promotion. Clubs are encouraged to liaise with other clubs in their region and actively seek to maximize local participation. The scores from all venues were match pointed across the state and the results planned for all 223 pairs who competed.
