The hunky dory social club occupies the top 2 levels, of the long abandoned building next to the balkan seafood restaurant on oxford street and beneath one of three iconic billboard's surrounding taylor square. The rooftop will host a variety of events, such as the saturday ?'hunky dory flee market'?, 'open air cinema' and a range of quality alternative music. Turn nightfall, just because they're in brown paper bags, swap your cup of coffee for a classic martini or sit back and relax with a longneck, does not mean they're takeaway. Trading as a cafe/restaurant during the days, on a comfy chesterfield, whilst basking in the sunlight of the open rooftop terrace, where punters can sip their morning coffee to the sounds of vinyl classics, with cuisine a la bruno's at your service. Hdsc is open 7 days a week from 11am till late. The attention to detail continues on the rooftop balcony, which includes a potted garden, overlooking the cityscape - the perfect backdrop for live music. Oh and the bathrooms are unisex, complete with a dj booth and a waitress. The multi level venue has been fully refurbished in 1900's french style d'cor, which is also the age of most of the furniture - well worn chesterfields, pressed metal ceiling, copper finished bar and chandeliers from a french provisional mansion in morocco.
