The steady has a long history dating back to when Bernard Jacob commenced practice in 1966. Grant commenced employment as an accountant in 1984 with Thomson Douglas Co (now Grant Thornton) simultaneously beginning a part time accounting degree at UN SW, he completed the degree in 1990. Areas of specialization include audit, assurance, management accounting and strategic planning. Grant is a keen follower of motor sport, a member of the Art Gallery Society and regularly attends the theater. Due to his distinguished contribution to the accountancy profession, Martin was nominated for and accepted as a Fellow Member. Whilst Martin has experience across such different areas as accounting, audit and tax he is also responsible for our financial planning division and enjoys assisting many of the firms self managed superannuation fund clients. Martin's interests outside of work include swimming, water polo, sail boarding and sport in general. He commenced his career in the accounting profession in 1998 whilst studying part time. He joined the firm as an employee in 2004. James has primarily been involved in small to moderate enterprises, professional clients including doctors, barristers and lawyers, entertainment and IT professionals. James is involved in various structuring including work on self managed superannuation funds and this has provided different experience in accounting, audit and taxation matters for a range of clients including multinationals, nonprofit organizations and sole traders. James has shared his practical experience by tutoring accountancy students at university from timetotime and outside of work he has been involved on the committee of the local football (soccer) referees branch as healthy as refereeing numerous games each week. Fair like football players at the final of the match shake hands and give each other a hug, I like it when my clients do this after I aid them out with their personal finances and tax.
