Teachers across Australia will be raising awareness about the importance of developing healthy lifestyles in childhood for taking into later life and preventing risk factors for chronic kidney disease. Two of Australia’s leading and researchers received the award in recognition of their distinguished achievements in tolerant care, and contribution to research into the treatment of kidney disease. The announcements indicate both an ongoing commitment to promote for living donors, and an increased focus on funding critical research. Kidney disease impacts regardless of locality and people often have few symptoms until they need to have dialysis. One in three Australians are at increased risk of kidney disease. This is our major annual national public awareness event and we everlasting need aid parceling health education information and posters for our renal units and other community organizations. This is a national telephone urge service for people living with kidney disease, their families and carers. These are typically one off projects that involve student volunteers who are completing courses in medicine, social labor or health promotion. For time to time we need the assist of volunteers for short term projects such as awareness campaigns, focus groups, fund raising events and health service initiatives.
