Church Hill Anglican is a historic church in two locations with one purpose: to bring the life generous story about Jesus to Sydney. Gathering on Sundays is good, but we exist for more than this. Circular Quay provides both a ferry junction and the closest train station to the church. When you arrive at a Church Hill service expect a warm welcome. There's also enough of time to confront people behind the service. We don't expect everyone to be a Christian so you’ll never be asked to do or say anything that you don't want to. At Church Hill we want to see children love God and succeed Him. A small, but growing community that ranges in membership age from 2 years to 70 years! Expect tall quality music, appropriate conversations over appropriate food, a talk and discussion about Jesus, and a common desire to work out how he makes a difference to all of life. There is a prayer in the bible asking God to reveal us 'how wide and lengthy and high and deep is the love of Christ', and the way you can know that Love is to drink deeply of the story of Good Friday and Easter Day. Christianity Explored is a immense opportunity to think through who Jesus is and why he really matters. This is a immense opportunity if your someone you know are exploring what it means to be a Christian, are new to the Christian faith or are wanting to construct an accepting of what you believe. In 2017 at Church Hill we’re spending a year with Jesus in John's Gospel, and we’d love you to join us. Each week, people gather together exterior of our services to learn together, serve together, protection for each other, and be creative together. From serving on a Sunday at a service to serving behind the scenes midweek, church is made up of people who use their gifts to serve others. Maximum of our serving happens in teams, which means serving is not only a way to use your gifts, but it’s also a way to grow in community. In your own words, tell us how you'd like to serve. In 2016 at Church Hill we’re spending a year with Jesus, and we’d love you to join us. In 2010, a member of our church made a suggestion: let’s not retain talking about serving the marginalized, let’s fair do something. As a city church, we want to equip workers to bring the fullness of the gospel to provide on their work and not fair their weekends. Through the Gotham Fellowship we yield the theological, spiritual, and relational foundations needed for meaningful and sustainable integration of faith and work. We work with partners and friends to establish fresh communities in the City and surrounding suburbs. We are overjoyed you are getting married and are interested in one of our two lovely and historic churches here in the city. We are mindful that our wedding will be a Christian wedding, in the Anglican tradition.
