What you should know about Colombian Music Festival
2011 colombian music festival now in its 5th year, viva colombia returns to downtown sydney at the metro saturday, july 23rd. Tickets are $40 presold. Held at the metro theatre in sydney city, raffles, dance shows, merchandise, colombian music festival will also include latin-american food, surprise giveaways. After 14 years of radio in colombia and australia the festival will see angel montoya from latinos fm 107.3 take to the dj box so everyone will be served the finest choice of authentic music. New in 2011 is a dance choreography that brings the best from international dancer and colombian salsa champion juan carlos ospina sanchez showcasing his famous footwork together with the glamorous latin dance australia crew including MC jaime jesus. Support band sydney salsa all stars with our very own gonzalo porta (non home-grown but our adopted uruguayan born phenomenon). Produced by dce entertainment, national and local latin-american music acts including headliner, the festival will offer a variety of international, wilson ????saoko??? manyoma: ????colombias??? most important musical export???� (the miami herald). It is a landmark venue for both international and local acts, being a pivotal breakthrough venue for bands as they break on to the scene. Situated in the heart of George Street’s bustling entertainment district, directly across from the Cinema strip, and close to Darling Barbour and Oxford Street, The Metro is centrally located and effortless to find. By Bus: All buses that run to the Queen Victoria Building are a 3 minute walk from the venue, with many buses to George Street stopping correct outside the Metro itself. The Metro theater has a photo booth located in our foyer.
Now celebrating their 25th year since the release of their debut album, Paradise Lost finally return to Australia for 5 shows only including their first shows in Adelaide and Perth ever!
