By now Darling ton was well sufficient established to make a claim for it's own school. 1880 Education was made compulsory and the Golden Grove estate was subdivided which strained the school accommodation. 1883 The school curriculum was expanded to include singing, dancing and sewing as healthy as the 3 R's. 188 The worn system of training teachers in the classroom was replaced by a two year course at Teachers College.

We create and maintain a safe school environment by protecting the well being of our students and promoting sure relationships between students. The participation, enjoyment and aptitude development of our students is the cornerstone of the school sport physical activity program. The learning and encourage team face once a week to discuss student needs as highlighted by executive, classroom teachers and urge staff. Each year students at Darling ton Public school participate in the Premiers Reading Challenge. Applications for next year are taken from term two of the stylish school year.
