At Gelato messing our job is to make people happy. Yes we make outstanding gelato with the very best, genuine ingredients. And yes our gelato cakes are weird and wonderful, but it’s all in the name of putting a smile on someone’s face. We’re passionate (verging on obsessive) about the creative process. Whether it’s future up with fresh flavors or a music play list for the stores, we throw ourselves into it because that’s what we love. The answer is simple use ingredients in their raw and maximum spontaneous form and make everything from scratch. Ready made’ ingredients including colourings, flavorings, preservatives and pastes have no place at messing. From the ethical roasting and incessant grind of pistachios, to the baking of our own apple pies and brownies, or to the sweet smell of stewed spiced rhubarb, absolutely everything is made lovingly in house by our insignificant team of insane professors. Our dairy flavors have low stout content because we use less cream, and our sorbets are entirely plump free, dairy free and packed of fruit. Although our inspiration is derived from both our Sicilian heritage and a long history with food, it is our loyal (and slightly mad) customers who provide the genuine inspiration.
