Established in 1988, Grant Samuel has a track record of delivering lofty quality advice and special outcomes for its clients. She is a member of the Papunya Eula Artist group and is based and paints at Kintore, to the east of her country Tjukula. This painting relates to the mythical Tingari group and their travels across the country. The insignificant concentric squares at the top of the painting represent the boys who will pass across the mid ground and through a cave at the bottom of the picture, emerging as men. Earlier to becoming an artist, Ronnie worked on stations, usually as a fencer. Like many of his peers, behind years of moving between communities at Papunya, Yuendumu and other remote locations, he located to Kintore, closer to his customary lands. In the early 1990’s she began painting her country, inspired by her mother, Madigan Thomas, her uncle, Jack Britten, and the previous artists of the Warmun Community.
