We have a vision of a socially just, accessible and inclusive community, in which the human rights, belonging, contribution, potential and diversity of all people with disability are recognized, respected and celebrated with pride. Our purpose as a leading disability rights, advocacy and representative organization of and for all people with disability, is to strive for the realization of our vision of a socially just, close and inclusive community. Are entitled to live in, and be a portion of, the diversity of the community. We are accessible and responsive to our community, and inclusive of its diversity. We encourage, empower and urge the civic participation of people with disability. The Association is an organization of, and for, all people with disability, and has as its major aims empowerment and promotion of the rights of people with disability and the creation of a society in which people with disability can fully participate. Developing education programs and support services for people with disability to ensure they have equality of opportunity within the community. As segment of her Board roles, Bonnie actively advocates for equality for women and girls with disability, difficult the justice system and institutionalization. Her experience on the PW DA board has complemented her commitment to people with disability and also her keen interest in issues of governance. Growing up in regional MSW, Brendan learn what it was like to participate in mainstream life while navigating certain difficulties relating to his hearing loss. Vanessa Fanning has a keen interest in advocating for people with disabilities, in improving communication between government and people with disabilities and in improving the interface between disability support and aged care support. Suzy is employed in the Australian Public Service as a personal assistant and is passionate about inclusion in the workplace. Suzy has an honors degree in Literature and completed a Visual Arts degree in 2010, studying painting sound art. Suzy is also an associate member of the GNU Gender Institute. Serving on the GNU anise Society executive as Treasurer, and then President, her persuade was instrumental in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students the public. It has been through his experiences as a student with a disability both at University and throughout his schooling that he developed a mighty interest in social justice and disability rights. He has previously served as a board member of PW DA, 2007 to 2010 and being both the treasurer and secretary. She believes that accessible and inclusive employment is more than employer platitudes promoting workplace diversity. Her passion to support and preserve the rights of people with disability, their families and carers is underpinned by her potent community involvement in social justice and community service initiatives. James Condren is a person with intellectual and mental health disability. James is passionate about his work around criminal justice and people with intellectual disability and has advocated for services to promote people through the Criminal Justice Project. In 2008 James got the Volunteers Justice Award for his labor in training volunteers for the Intellectual Disability Rights Service to do police and court support for people with intellectual disability. James has been on that committee for the final 2 years.

Disability rights related training and education for people with disability and their associates, service providers, government and the public. This work is supported in segment by grants of financial assistance from both the State and Commonwealth Governments. This assistance is acknowledged with appreciation.
