Our center has been operating for over 30 years, beginning with a studio on the North Shore and then moving to Kings Cross, where we were situated for 20 years, before moving to our vogue location in East Redfern three years ago. Our purpose built studio is a place where you can explore your yoga practice in a sound and supportive environment. Iyengar yoga differs from other yoga because of its focus on precision in alignment, and the integration of body, breath and heed at the moment. But Iyengar yoga is not just focused on physical development. As you travel the yoga path you will come to recognize fundamental aspects of your personality and tendencies of character and earnings an insight into how you choose to live and shape your life. Learning to practice yoga takes time, commitment, discipline and trust and this superior happens in a consistent environment. We are here to provide the environment and guidance to promote you on this journey. Use the body as a tool to undertake a practice of self study, an internal journey to better self knowledge and connection with our innermost being. Construct a capacity for mental focus and awareness and in so doing come to better grasp ourselves as physical, mental, emotional and spiritual beings. Refine and explain our perception by training the heed to be still, we gain mental clarity and allow deeper discernment to emerge, both on the mat and in our daily lives. Prosper greater awareness of our own natures and tendencies and this brings with it the potential for self transformation. Exercise and flourish self discipline, restraint and a capacity for acceptance and surrender in the process experiencing a deep sense of stability, quiet and contentment.

What is yoga now? Yoga is about attentiveness, noticing, it is a practice based way of learning i.e. Learn the foundations of a good yoga practice and begin to explore the poses in a way that brings lightness, freedom and focus to your comply and body. Workshops, intensives, teacher development weekends and exceptional events are attended by enrollment only. Students must enroll and pay the stuffed fee before the due date to approve their deposit at the Bali Retreat. Full payment must be made four weeks before each module begin date. Iyengar Yoga Teachers of Introductory 2 and above are invited to enroll in a teacher development session focused on teaching Yogasana. Alan Good has been practicing Yoga for 40 years and teaching for more than 30 years. Pertinent for all levels with Iyengar yoga experience, level 2 students and advanced yoga practitioners. Pertinent for anyone with Iyengar yoga experience, level 2 students, advanced yoga practitioners and teachers. At these times our culture says that we can do as we wish. This Intensive is suitable for anyone with Iyengar yoga experience, level 2 students, advanced yoga practitioners and teachers. Attendance at the annual Bali retreat and Caroline’s other classes and workshops is also encouraged. Caroline is a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher with 35 years’ experience. In total, these modules bear 94 hours of teacher training per year. 4 day teacher development module attended by certified teachers, teacher trainees and advanced practitioners. In order to join this Program you must have done a least of three years Iyengar Yoga either attendance at classes or practice. Certified Iyengar yoga teachers are required to total 20 hours of ongoing training and personal development each year with a Senior Iyengar teacher. Leta is a lengthy time yoga practitioner and certified Iyengar yoga teacher. She started practicing yoga in 1982 and committed to Iyengar yoga in 1987. Intensives are a way to do some substantial and focused work in the foundations of yoga. This intensive is for all levels with some experience, smooth 2 students and advanced yoga practitioners. But what has everlasting been exceptional to Australia and her teachers is that we are a practicing culture. They had a workshop culture, and students went more to workshops to learn than to their mat.
